GOTR MN Mary C. Uran Alum Scholarship

We're excited to announce the 2024 Girls on the Run Minnesota Mary C. Uran Scholarship presented by Apple Autos. This award, named in honor of GOTR MN's co-founder and first executive director Mary C. Uran and her legacy of open-hearted leadership, is given annually to Girls on the Run Minnesota alums of distinction who exemplify the core values and vision of Girls on the Run. 

Applications are due by April 15 with the final decisions being made on April 26. Award recipients will be announced and honored at the Limitless Potential Luncheon on Thursday, May 9, 2023 11 am - 1 pm at Mosaic Venue in Minneapolis.

Scholarship Application

We welcome applicants that reflect the diversity of Girls on the Run Minnesota participants and their many avenues of achievement, while honoring one or more core values of Girls on the Run. GOTR core values include:

  • recognize our power and responsibility to be intentional in our decision making
  • embrace our differences and find strength in our connectedness
  • express joy, optimism and gratitude through our words, thoughts and actions
  • lead with an open heart and assume positive intent
  • nurture our physical, emotional and spiritual health
  • stand up for ourselves and others

Qualifications: Must have already graduated from high school or be graduating from high school in Spring 2024. Individuals who participated in at least one season with Girls on the Run Minnesota (in either Girls on the Run or Heart & Sole program) are eligible to apply.
